There is def a bit left there on the table. Should have 500 without much issue with a good heads/cam combo. What do you have in it for a cam? What chamber size on the 317's?

Heads are 72cc, flat tops, cam is a trex copy

definitely some to be gained with less chamber volume. And with that cam, it should have a bit in it I would think. The old T-Rex was a healthy cam! I ran 11.90 at 118 with a 226/230 cam, and a set of OLD CNC Ported TSP 243 heads. In all actually, the heads had WAY to much intake volume for my combo. This was in a full weight trans am, but was with an LS1 instead of a 5.3 (not that it makes a whole lot of difference there)
