in need of help big block swap question

I have a question I'm putting a gen V, 454 block in my 78 malibu I need a spin on oil adapter to make my oil filter straight down can i get any help on where i can find that adapter for my year motor 91, I found one but its for older motors it did not work..

why didn't the older style fit?? I had a 94 big block that took the same filter as the older ones. IIRC, the adapter is the same as a small block.

I got rid of the motor so no part #s. Did you look in Summit catalog?

Yes i did but they have the same one.. ill check out morso website..

So I heard that I could just remove the original filter mount and it has threads for the filter fitting but no luck funding that.
