Kickdown cable on th 350

Hey guys, just got my kickdown cable on, i took the car out it worked great but i noticed when i was cruising with steady throtle at about 30 mph it would shift out of overdrive into 3rd. anyone know how to adjust it?? [-o<

I have never seen a TH350 that had OD. What transmission do you have?

Could be the TH350C with lockup converter? Maybe it's not keeping the converter locked/ JD

If it is a TH350C the TCC is controlled by Governor pressure & Vacuum Switch. There are several Pr. Switches with different Pr. ratings to change TCC lockup speed. Also adjustable Vacuum Switches are available in 1" to 6" & 6" to 22" of vacuum, these help when long Duration Cams are used..
