lm gonna try to take my car to the track for the first time this wknd and was wondering what the ideal rpm is to leave at,off the footbrake.Its got a 3k rpm converter,any advice greatly appreciated

Depends on how your brakes hold, I would try to footbrake to 1500 and go up from there as your brakes allow... Just stage as shallow as possible so you can experiment...
Try different rpm's and check your 60 ft times and judge from there. There's alot of different variables like tires or slicks,etc What works for one guy won't work for another so pay attention to the time slips!!
