longer than stock lower control arms

Is there any problem using longer than stock solid arms instead of double adjustable I want to center the wheel in the opening and I'm switching to a TH400 this would save me from having to get the driveshaft shortened.I see on the Impala SS some offer solid arms .75 longer to center the wheel just worried about arms getting too wide to bolt to the rear Iceman said he would make his solid lowers any length I wanted I was thinking 20 1/8 center to center stock is 19 1/4" right?

I have 2 sets here that I used on My car with a 12 bolt rear. I used some rect. tubing about 1/8 thick. They worked for 5 years and I put a 9" in My car and got a set of BMR arms.
