hey guys i have searched everywhere and cant find an answer. im swapping my 78 malibu to a t5 and the slave cylinder mount on the bellhousing hits my driverside header. Does anyone know of a longtube header that clears the slave cylinder location?

Since G-Bodies never came with a hydraulic clutch it's unlikely, you'll probably need to run a hydraulic throwout bearing with longtubes if you keep your current bellhousing.
thats what i was afraid of. i guess ill have to get some shorties. I already have all my hydraulics so i would hate to spend another four hundred bucks to run a hydraulic throwout bearing.
I don't know what size the dimensions are, but the later S10s, full size trucks and LS1 ('98+) F-Bodies used a hydraulic bearing that may be a cheap alternative.

You may be able to see how they may fit around the bellhousing. Both collectors angle outward, so that may help.

i think i may cut and move the tube thats hitting and see if i cant keep my headers i have now. i have to take some more measurements but i think i can clear the slave and bellhousing.
