Anyone have any pictures of a low mounted turbo set up. Either single or twin. I've heard of turbo in the trunk but what about right at the end of a normally mounted header or something? Would be cool for a little stealth build.
It's been done. The problem is oiling.
You will need at least a pump to move the oil out of the turbo or a sump tank and back to the engine.
Also the further back the turbos are the more you need to tighten the hotside and play with the turbine sizes to keep them spinning.
And you still need a intercooler even on E-85. So the plumbing may not be so stealthy.
How would you set up a pump for the oil? And if I were to do this it would only be right at the header collectors right by the trans (if that were possible). Just been wondering about it lately and would be cool to get info on it. Thanks for the response!
