I am building a 385 stroker. Want to know how much clearance i should have between the cam lobes and the big end of the rods. 3.75" stroke 6' h beam rods, 0.040' bore. CC XFI466 .570/.565 113
I have 0.037" at #2 and #6 all thr rest are over 0.100" Is this enough or do i need more?

Keep in mind that when you grind material off of the rod ends, you're upsetting the balance of the crank/rod/piston assembly. IMO, that .037" clearance should work just fine, but if you intend to re-balance the crank/rod/piston assembly after you grind for clearance, you should be OK.

Clearancing should be done prior to balancing but, removing that small of an amount shouldn't effect the balance to the point of needing to rebalance. Just the oil that clings to the rotating parts can change weights by several grams.
