Do you spot weld it after you get it where you want it, or is pushing it in enough for a street motor?

i think you do set it 1/4 in from bottom of pan,once you get it set..i would tack weld it.

That's what I usually do.

I was just wondering what others did.

I don't have a welder or access to one, so I used a little clamp from Jegs that holds it in place.

I've always used brazing rod,two opposing 1/4" tacks,never lost one after that!
