one wire conversion kit

has anyone on here ever done it before? im gonna get 1 from jegs and convert my 3 wire to 1 wire i looked it up on Google and it looks pretty simple but the one article said if its not done rite u could burn up ur car? is this true but i got a lot of patience to do this my self but could use some more info thanks,mike

I did it on the bu with the summit kit. nothing to it. Do you have an idiot light or gauge?
