Pilot bushing for powerglide engine?

Go to http://www.mondellotwister.com/Transmission.htm and ck out the adapter bearing p/n pb-460 at the bottom of the page. Mostly used on Olds engines but will work on yours. Be aware that most Olds guys are less than pleased with the result mainly from it coming out(use lots of bearing locker). Pilots off the input splines and you will need to cut off the pilot at the end of the input shaft or just drill a relief hole in the end of the crank(better).

I guess I could drill it if it was just a relief cut and nothing precision. I wonder if it could be welded in place

I would think it would have to be drilled correctly, if not it could be off center and throw the ballance off

I read too many bad things about the bushing and decided to just swap the car to auto.

I suggest to check the numbers stamped on the left front deck in front of the head to determine the original application. You may have a 283 or 327 that was put into the truck.

Also, cross-reference the casting number and the casting date.

Yeah I may check them if I get time. I'm really just looking to sell the car asap. Anyone interested in the bushing, I am selling it.
