Thinking of going to a Pro Charger on my 489. I'm currently at 10.6-1 compression. I have Eddy Victor ovals with CNC ports and 2.25 valves. Cam is a Lunati solid roller 688 lift, 255/263 @ .50, 110 lobe seperation. My question is, can i bolt one on a go? Never messed with them. Looks like good hp with only 8-10 psi of boost. Looking to go from 10.30 to 9's

Got a couple leads on them. Complete set up used on a 461. It went 9.80's on 12 psi

Pull some timing, run good gas, study you plugs and hang it out to dry. Exhaust lobe might want a little help. Try running a 1.75 rocker on the exhaust. Youll pack it in the cylinder easy enough, just need to get it out. Just a thought.

Well as we all know nothing is a bolt on.

How much compression do you have now?

If you get a complete P/C you still need a carb built for a blow-thru or efi. Possible a bonnet as well.
You will need a boost referenced fuel system and a pump that can supply volume under pressure. NONE of the Holley rainbow colored pumps will work.
Just from the spec you posted a cam swap would perform better also.
If your not using a good racing gas (like C16) you need an intercooler. Even with C-16 you should have an intercooler to maximize the hp.

If you have any question feel free to contact us.

Meth injection is always an option too. At 8 psi, you could run a holy blue with a stiff bypass spring from moroso. You can get It to push 18 or 19 pounds. Don't expect it to last very long though. Robert is right though, its the little things you don't think of that add up, ie regulators, Tubuing, etc

e85, alcohol, or straight methanol. No probs. I am switching to e85 in the cutlass for the procharger. Its around 10.5:1 I think.
