pushrods

when should i consider moving up to a 3/8 pushrod for a small block? im on a fresh build and its pushrod time.

a good set of 5/16 rods will be lots and plenty

the reason im so worried is that i had a comp magnum rod fail on me last year,took out a lifter, rocker arm, and valve with it(almost a piston too) . i dont wanna take any chances on this build. my springs are nextec 8023 rates are [email protected] and [email protected]" imma spin it to round 6800. not sure it matters but its also a supercharger application. what rods are the best? id put goal post in it if it was the best....lol

i use a chromoly 5/16 rod, springs are good for .600 lift. my cam is hydraulic .533 lift running a b&m 162 blower and i've buzzed to 7000 with no problems
