Racing Wheels and the Street Driven Car

I would like to replace Darwin's current 15X6 & 15X7 steel wheels with a set of lighter 15X7 wheels to make better use of her limited power. As much as I admire American Racing's Torq Thrust Ds, I am tempted by some of the more conservative racing wheels like Weld's Draglite or Centerline's Convo-Pro. I'm just concerned about how these wheels will hold up in a 3500lb street driven wagon.

How good are these kind of wheels (Weld Draglites, Centerline Convo-Pro & Centerline Autodrag) at handling the indignities of life on the street?

Is there any particular racing wheel you'd prefer to use on a 100% street driven car?

Are all of these wheels capable of using radial tires?

I am looking forward to hearing your responses.

Bart Wheels are about the lightest "standard" steel race wheel you can get. They're soo light, they're not DOT street legal. I wouldn't use them. They're very succeptable to being bent or breaking welds... I can't really say anything about race alloys. Personally, I would just avoid any non-DOT wheel...
