Motor is done, waiting on time to get it in. But after looking at the current 2 core rad that is in the car now, ain't gonna cut it. Summit has Griffin Pro Series that has aluminum ones with inch or 1 1/2" tubes for less than $200. Want an aluminum to take some weight off the front of the car. Motor is 10:1, bout 400 horse, no need for transmission cooler....

The problem with a lot of the universal radiators is the filler neck is on top & sometimes hits the hood. Griffin does have direct replacements. This first one I picked is for 600 horsepower, but I figure it leaves room for upgrades &/or A/C.

The one for 400 horsepower is a little cheaper:

The Dominator Series is cheaper yet, but IDK what type of power it's good for. 1.25" tubes should be OK:

I have a setup from Entropy Tech Radiators.

There less than $500 for a huge aluminum radiator aluminum shroud and dual fans.

And not some cheap fans either.

Made in U.S.A. too!!!!!

At an idle in the driveway in summer it keeps the big block at 190

The pic is for a Camaro setup but the Malibu is the same without the tabs on the end.

Still alot of money, but since it comes with the fans it's reasonable. Local roundy-rounder store has some alum. rads, gonna see what they have...
