Awhile back I put a new radio in the El Camino. I didn't wire it in yet. I have the radio antenna in the windshield. The connection is a large male fitting. The radio doesn't have a spot to plug it in. It has a wire that has a small male fitting for it's antenna connection. I didn't want to change my antenna. Anyone have any ideas on connecting the antenna?

is there any antenna coax underneath the dash @ all?should be a female jack on your cowl that windshield antenna plugs into. it has a short lead that plugs connects the radio to the windshield antenna.you'll have to remove the lower windshield moulding to find it.

What kind of radio is is? If you can post photos or the make and model it would help us.

Here's a picture of the radio. I'll have to look up the paperwork and give you the brand.

Looks like a custom autosound USA-360 or maybe the USA-230. According the webpage links below it shows normal plugs for antenna.

That's what the directions say. I don't see any place to plug the antenna in. I'm "Old" so I might have missed it. I appreciate your help.

No worries, the link above has all of the manuals, so that should be a big help. If you know the exact model it will narrow it down quickly. If that fails I would call them and ask. On most stereos, blue is power antenna activate (up/down) or remote turn on for amplifiers.
