Does anyone have a trick for in-stalling the C pillar sail panels, Find it difficult to lineup the slot in the C pillar with the clip in the panel.

Maybe tie some string around the end of the clip and feed it thru the slot in the C -pillar?

Or replace the clip with velcro?

Thanks for any response.

I'm not sure what you're asking exactly.
Use a door panel popper tool to remove the plastic clip from the body and install it in the sail panel, then put the sail panel on the car. The same goes for the kick panels.

Position the clip where you want it with masking tape around the slot that goes to the back side of sail panel. It will hold it in place while you install the panel. Hope this helps.

The problem with my c-pillar plastics was that what commonly happens, the sun's ultraviolet light attacks them, so what was left was wet sanded smooth and painted. They came out looking nice, but they must of lost their rigidity, because even with having the plug-in clip in place, they were bowing inward.

To correct the problem, made up brackets and Velcro the plastics to the C pillar. Suppose another way would be to fiberglass in some ribbed sheet metal, and that would stiffen up the panels.
