Had a plan to swap out the power steering with an S10 manual box. Things went well till I tried to remove the pitman arm from the linkage while still on the car. There must be some tool or magic to get the small end to part from it's home. Tried pleading, hammer, beer, bigger hammer, BF Hammer with lots of release-all and no go. Cant put a flame on the thread cause there is so much grease & oil down there. How do you guys separate those two ???

It looks a lot cleaner up front after I sprayed the S10 box with cast coat paint.

The S10 and Gbody use the same idler arm so I left the S10 pitman arm on mine.

If at all possible NEVER use "flame" heat on those components.

Yes, I left the S-10 pitman arm on mine when I installed it in my Monte.
