SBC VORTEC HEADS? ???'S

Can 2 different sbc vortec casting heads (906&062) heads be used on a engine a friend of mines has a running engine with 2 different vortec heads on it both heads had valve jobs on them before being put on will these heads work as they should?

Both heads flow the same. GM had only two castings the 906 and the 062. The only difference is that some of the 906 castings had a very hard exhaust seat and was used in the HD trucks. Most of the 062 casting came on the lighter duty units.

So there should not be any problems with running two different Vortec heads on the engine? THANKS

As long as the head flows are the same, the engine doesn't care. This has been done with the Big block chevy for years. 781 and 049 heads were the same, 990 and 188 heads are the same.
