How do I remove the seat belt clasp from the belt ? I need to feed the belt through the rear quarter interior panel so i can remove it to dye the panel.

It's been a while but if I remember correctly, I took out the bolt on the floor at the side of the seat and the one up top on the B pillar and I'm sure it all goes thru the opening in the quarter trim. If I missed something I'm sure somebody will chime in.

Im curious as well, did you ever get it off? Move the seat forward and undo it from near the seat? I looked and couldn't find the bolt.

The lower panel should have a slit cut at the back of the slot where the belt comes through to slide the belt fabric through. The buckle portion won't come off the belt without unstitching it.

The lower bolt is under the carpet, down the inner rocker a couple of inches.

I am in the same situation as you. I planned to fully extend the length of the belt-dye the panel and a portion of the belt-and slide the buckle to the newly dyed section-and dye the remaing part of the belt. I dont know how else to do it. I dont really want to get into taking the retractor apart or having to have a seatbelt end resewn. Best of luck w/ yours, I'll watch this thread to see if any interior wizards have a better/right way of getting this done.

I've done a couple my self its kinda hard. You have to take the seat belt clasp and turn it kinda side ways and work it threw the slot on the quarter panel. Its a pain but you have to get it just right and it will fit threw there.

well what about the anchor bolt, is there a way to remove the sleeve? That to me seems the most reasonable method but I can't fit it through with the anchor still in the upper mounting position. I have the rest of the trim out but this piece.

Alright after looking at the sleeve on the anchor bolt for a minute and noticed that it spins, I took a flat-bladed screw driver and applied some pressure on the sleeve so that it slid. It move about 1/2 at the most, allowing it to contact the threads. Then I unscrewed it removed the anchor bolt from the high seatbelt mount. and wiggled the seatbelt through the 1/4 trim opening and it is now out. Good Luck to the others hope this will help. I am back out to get the other side now.
