So I'm kind of in the dark when it comes to steering pumps. It appears to me they're basically the same from at least the early '80s up through the '90s, then they started using remote-reservoir units... but is the mounting bolt pattern still the same? I wouldn't mind running one with a remote reservoir partially for an updated look, because the old all-in-one units just look old to me

I believe 87 Pontiac Sunbird pump and 85-86 Chevy Cavalier pumps are type II boxes with remote reservoirs.

"Honest Charlies" also sells a mount part number 812402L

It states it is for a remote reservoir but the picture shows something different.......
