steering wheel quick connect with factory column

Anyone ever welded a jegs steering wheel quick disconnect to their factory column? Need advice on the best way to go about it

Would it still work with the factory horn? I've thought of this myself, just another security measure.

Mine wouldn't work with the factory horn.
