like the title says I'm in the middle of stuffing a 29x11 in a regal with no tubs or frame notch. So to do this and not require 5k in body work i decided to go with a set of gbodyparts.com gnx fender flares little did I know that the flares were a mold of a mold so the radius was so off (small) i had to cut the flare in two to get the bottom half of the flare to sit flush with what was left of the wheel lip.

now how i am mounting these is I have trimmed off the wheel lip on the fender from the sharp body line around the top to the body line again leaving the bottom seven inches or so to mount part of the flare to.Now for the other half I separated the wheel tub from the body on the top half and with a bfh beat the outer edge of the tub so it was parallel to the ground increasing tire clearance and leaving an edge to weld the modified body panel to.Now the the top of the fender free I bologna cut the fender so i could bend it up to match the inside angle of the fender flare but on partially about an inch and a half or 2 had to be bent back to meet the wheel tub and be welded in place. So for attaching these flares I will be putting 3m panelbond between the inside of the flares and the body and the angles on the quarter panels and between the lip and the flare using screws to hold it together until it dries so I'm about half way through the passenger side and this is how it looks today, the pencil lines on the front are showing where the cuts in the fender are so i could hit the flare with an angle finder and know roughly where to start bending the o.e fender to match.I will be updating and take more pics on the other side that i missed on the first.

I'll be watching this!

I had toyed around with the idea of doing the same thing. However I lack the skill and confidence ($$$) to experiment with a set of those flares... :-k
