i just installed a switch panel today in my 85 MCSS.. now the question i have is what did i do wrong.. i dont need to flip the ignition switch to crank over the car.. it seems like it is always hot.. but i need to flip the switch to off to shut the car off.. but dont need to flip it on to start the car.. ( i have a push button ignition)

Where does the power feed come from that goes to the button? Make the power feed come from somewhere that is only hot when the ignition switch is on. I have mine wired like yours on purpose. That way I can crank the engine to build oil pressure and it won't start until I flip the ignition on. Hope this helps. Lee

i wouldnt mind if she just cranked.. but im just worried about her starting.. i might just have 1 plug on the wrong way.. if it stops raining within the next month ill go check it out

is your key switch still hooked up. my cars switch is for start up and off . i have the ignition switch on my panel runing to the power coil wire and the start switch on my panel is for my purge valve
