my transmission is leaking from the pan from what i can see....really bad. so bad as i drive down the road the air going past it carrys it under the car, to the back, and blows it onto the back of the car...i replaced the corck gasket to a rubber one and still same problem...im thinking the pan is warped now...i just looked at a few on jegs and what every one elses opinion....

i didnt really like any of the other ones....if any one has any suggestions..there welcome
car is used for daily driver..once leak is fixed will be going to the track just to have some fun

Are you sure its the pan? The dipstick can leak down and you think it is the pan gasket, the fluid level normal? Not over filled? Also check the cooling lines see if they loosened up. Matty man 8)

You can also use a small ballpeen hammer and work over your pan to make it seal better.

You need to tap down, from the top/trans side of the pan where all the bolts sit, they stretch the pan inward. Beat them back level. Then, once its all back together. Carb cleaner it all, then start it up, you'll be able to see the leaks. Don't forget the govenor cover and the shifter shaft. If you have the pan back off, it would be a good time to change the dipstick o-ring or seal they make two types. It slides together easier with vaseline on it or trans-gel if you have any.
