I just figured out that I was cheated on my transmission. I ordered a 200r4 and found out this week that it is actually a th200. Since I have about 4000 miles on it can anything help it be more durable?

Didn't you notice right away that the transmission wasn't going into overdrive, because there was no overdrive?
My first 79 had a th200 originally. It took a damn beating. About 140 dragstrip passes. Then I misadjusted the kick down cable and burnt it up

Yes, this happened 14 yrs ago. I bought it on eBay then had it shipped to the shop that installed it. I had no car experience. I told the shop owner that a 200r4 was coming. He didn't tell me that I didn't get what I was expecting. He just installed it and didn't say anything.
