tH350 WTH FORD 9" DRIVESHAFT QUESTION

Hey am gonna have to shorten my drive shaft to run a th350 with a ford 9" rearend ?
Just curious what to expect ??? Thanks

The Ford 9" used different length yokes. If you have the shortest yoke, then you may be able to get away with not having your driveshaft shortened. You want a minimum of 1" of output yoke travel on the output shaft of the transmission with the driveshaft installed.

What I found on mine was that the flat flange type yoke used on lincolns fit like a glove with a stock length drive shaft.

I have a 81 f100 pig in my QP 9 inch and my stock driveshaft worked fine.Though i think its definately the weak link and will be replaced soon.
