Anyone ever have any issues with different size torque converters on a turbo 350,i dont mean diameter,i mean the length of the hub.Too much gap between flex and converter, just wondered what i have.Sucks its already in the car, trans has to come out!Wont engage properly.sorry probably should of been under transmissions.

Dont know the brand i think its a gm,just bought another converter and the measurement from top of the hub to the ear for the flex plate is longer by about 3/8"or a little more. my new one is a b & m. Fits completely different.

They do make shim packs for this so the converter stays in the trans. Its normal to have to pull it out about 1/8". If I find out who makes them I'll repost.

i have, i always make sure 1/4 inch of hub on the converter is in the pilot hole, i have used flat washers to space them out. but just make sure and measure the washers to check they are the same thickness
