First I want to run a 2004r to get going and swap to a 400 later. So I can bolt up either to an lq4 with it's stock flexplate and spacer and not have to have a special convertor with an ls pilot?

I have currently been checking in to this

A 6.0 lq4 from 99-00 the crank already has the flange built in along with a flat flexplate. the t400/200r4 will bolt up and converter will work

I believe any lq4 that originally came equipped with a 4l80e transmission will already have the correct spacer and flexplate.

If you end up with and engine that needs the spacer I believe you will need to order the flat flexplate for the converters to line up

if its a HD truck with 4l80, your set, if not you just need the spacer. Holes in the flywheel just need a little time wih a dremel.
