Vss, autometer elect. speedo, 700r4?

I've looked and could not find any recent info but how do get the Autometer elect. speedo to work correctly with my vss 4k wire(pin 50 red connector) on my truck harness? I also have the autometer 5291 hall effect sender. Do I just splice into the wire coming from the 5291 going into the SIG on the speedo? I have read about a dakota digital part but I'm not sure how that works. Please get me in the right direction guys!

I'd like to know this as well. I hav he same kind of guage but with a th350 transmission. It has a sensor plug in on the tail shaft where the speedo gear is but I didn't know if I could still use that signal or would I have to buy one specifically from autometer. That the only guage I have left to hook up.

Talked to Autometer yesterday morning and the 5291 hall effect sensor doesn't put out the same signal that the ecm needs to read(which is I think a magnectic a/c sine wave signal andthe 5291 puts out a d/c signal) to work correctly.
