I am in the process of putting the original 3.3L back into my 79'. The motor was master rebuilt in 1989, and had been sitting ever since. Its an original 3.3L with a 3sp floor shift. I got a couple V8's on standby, I just can't decide which one I want to build up.

I got the eng/trans out of a 96 Impala. (LT-1 w/ 4l60E) and a 4 bolt 350 with a 700R4. All need redone, just can't decide whether to go with an auto or not. I really want 5 or 6 speed.

Yup!! The intent was to include them and all V6's!!! So bring em on!!!

The motor is stock. It was bored .030 over, thats about it. Still a little ways from getting in put back in. The car sat for 17 years, and is in dire need of TLC. The engine compartment is looking good, should be done in a month or so.

Will it affect the car if I plug and disconnect the EGR, and all the emissions crap that goes along with it?

No, just make sure you dont need to pass emissions first. And make sure you plug up all the emissions ports in the carb and so fourth. Then make a metal block off plate for the egr port on the manifold.

Ok cool. no worries on the emissions stuff either. I'll keep it just incase. Hopefully I can have this motor cranked by the end of the month. Should run mid 20's in the 1/4. LOL


BTW, where is Hartford Wi ? I am South Eastern cheesland, 10 miles west of Kenowhere (Kenosha).
