Do you mean to retain the u-joint to the pinion yoke? If so: tight. Tight with a regular wrench, not tight with a breaker bar. Do them evenly, back-and forth, not all the way down one at a time.
torque ratings-
all bolts have torque spec ratings-
usually depends on the length size and thread count of the bolt. with the fine thread bolts and I think those are 5/16 so 20-25 will be sufficient...never had one ever back off.
As suggested snug all bolts so they are ALL seated then torque them. HAve fun Jim
