I did some searching but could not find the exact answer I was looking for. I have a sbc 355, the rev limiter will be set at 6200 rpm. The motor is in the car, and I was wondering if you think it would be worth pulling the motor to install a windage tray, would I see any benefits from the windage tray seeing as it only revs to 6200. The car will only be driven quarter mile at a time. Any info is appreciated.

IMHO it would be well worth it to have a windage tray, even one attached to the pan, like Milodon does in their 31502 pan. Keeping the oil off the crank throws as much as possible is a good thing, regardless of the rpm limit. This is what we used on advice of our engine shop, since we're "budget" racers with shallow pockets. :p

a windage tray is never a bad thing even at only 6200

The Chevrolet factory Z-28 semi-circular windage tray is a great piece, still available at a reasonable price, works with most any pan.
