Well as most of know you can not buy a re-production grill for 80 ](*,) . I have a good grill buy someone paited the center black [-X . I have been looking for a company that would re-chrome the grill. I have had no such luck!!! Does anyone know of such a place. A few companies do interior pieces by vaccum which will not work on a grill.

Thanks,

Doug

Here's a place in Florida I know of, that does rechroming.

If you can't find any place, your best bet is to find a good, clean original. Try Ebay(where I found mine), here in the classifieds, YB, Craigslist, swap meets.....

But I would think that you should have luck with redoing yours

Whoever you find it is going to be expensive. We've been rebuilding a 36' Indian and have been nickel plating all our parts that we've been building. Check our caswell plating, they have a "metalic" paint for plastics but it isn't cheap
Check out http://www.caswellplating.com/kits/silvaspray.html
I was going to try it out on some of my plastic parts, but ended up finding some NOS parts & great condition used pieces for less

I have not used it.

But if it REALLY is that easy and the results are as shown it would be difficult to beat.

I have a good 79 grille out in the storage bldg. :-k

I might just order this stuff and shoot it to check the results myself.

Ya i am thinking of trying it and see how it works out. Think the kit is like $115 which is alot for SPRAY PAINT. Tried looking for feedback and not alot out there. Only bad thing I saw was that when taped off the clear coat started to pull off. Who knows!! If I try it out I will let ya guys know and if anyone else please let me know.

Thanks
Doug

Did not check the pricing.

That is a bit pricy for spray paint.

I would check some of the plating business's costs before you invest the spray paint money.
