Would someone measure the distance from the passenger side edge of the trunk to the edge of the CHEVROLET emblem. Looks to me like from top to bottom it is in the middle. Thanks

On my 79 the farthest edge of the "T" (the top horizontial) is 2.5" from the edge of the trunk.
The bottom of the "T" is 2 1/8" from the bottom of the trunk edge.

After measuring it this morning I kinda looked at it again this afternoon.
Again, I have a 79 and the "Chevrolet" emblem is perfectly centered between the reverse and outer brake light.

BTW- I am the second owner. The first was my dad. I know this is how it came from the factory.
Not being a wise guy, just reassuring you why I'm sure of this.

On my 100% factory 1980, it's 1 3/16" (3mm) from the right hand tip of the "T" to the trunk edge & 2 3/8" (6mm) from the bottom of the emblem to the trunk lip. It's not 100% centered over the reverse & outer brake light, but it's close. It's about 1/2" off center to the right.. There are no printed measurements in my Fisher Body manual, just pictures with relative locations. I'm sure there were wide production variances.
