anyone ever buy these panels from here http://www.ecparts.net/ was thinking of using these patch panels on my bu http://www.ecparts.net/SR3206L.jpg http://www.ecparts.net/SR3205L.jpg wanted to kow if available thanks
From what I remember, Caminos are made differently ahead of the wheel (& longer), and the rear is obviously not correct. Behind the wheel is totally different shape between Camino and Malibu. Both areas should be doable with a little skill and flat sheetmetal.
Those particular panels I have not used, but aftermarket panels (ESPECIALLY patch panels) seldom are even close to the correct profile or style line placement.
i was palnning on reshaping below the contour line , i figured its the only alternative besides a donor for me having little experience making them from scratch would be far more difficult i am surprised no one makes any the demand is high enough another idea was getting some circle track panels see if those could be worked to fit . i tried sherman on some body panel forget what and it wasnt available any way thanks for the input
Below the line is pretty simple...very mild curvature, and a sharp bend where it kicks in to the trunk closeout panel. flat sheet should be very doable, unless the edges are gone...then patch panels usually aren't enough anyway.
