Is 92" trailer width enough? (w/ sport mirrors)

I'd check this myself but the car is hundreds of miles away.

Complete restoration just about done on '80 M80 coupe w/ remote operated racing mirrors. How will it fit (or not) in an enclosed trailer having 92" internal width? Inches to spare, if any? Would rather the mirrors stay intact.

Many thanks for your help.

I don't see why not. My custom open trailer was 78" between the fenders and the car fit fine. The outside mirrors don't stick out all that much, shouldn't be a problem. Most likely will have to load the car and crawl out through an open window as you most likely won't be able to open the door to get out...or winch it in.

Seems to me I measured from outside of mirror to outside of mirror one time and found it to be about 6' so at 92" you should be ok.

Thanks to you both for your time!

I'll send my trucker a link to this thread and send you guys the bill if it doesn't fit! Just kidding, I accept all responsibility...

Free beer and/or guitar lesson for the first poster who actually measures the widest point, which is likely the outside of one racing mirror to the other. The trucker will charge whether the car fits or not...ouch!

Hoping all have a great and prosperous new year!

You de man; thanks much!

I'll forward a link to this thread to the trucker and let him decide if 17.5" is 'nough.

Best wishes to all for a happy and prosperous new year.

Racing mirror width? Window angle?

How's my math below?

Round off 8-3/4"to 9" clearance each outside mirror to adjacent trailer wall with car centered.
Park 2" offset from center toward passenger-side for mirror-to-trailer wall clearance: 7" passenger side, 11" driver side
Racing mirror width estimate 5"
11 + 5 = 16" clearance driver side door to adjacent trailer wall
Estimate 3" door panel depth
Estimate 33" door lenth

Above estimated specs: 16" driver side clearance - 3" door panel depth = 13" estimated exit clearance with door stopped at interior trailer side wall.

What do you guys think? Is estimated 13" clearance enough to squeeze through?
