I was dumb and parked my car under a pine tree for about a year and now it is riddled with sap. I know to use wd40 to remove sap from the painted areas but the hood is still unpainted/raw fiberglass gellcoat. Its a glasstek hood. Im kinda scared to use wd40 on it for fear of it soaking into the fiberglass and then paint not sticking to it. So what do you guys use to get the sap off of fiberglass? Thanks.

Rubbing alcohol. You'll have to let it soak in a little bit to soften it up, but works like a charm. Dont buy the .99 stuff, That has alot of water in it. Check the label and make sure it's at least 70% alcohol. Usually only $1.49 or so.
