GM produced a 4.3 V6 with a 4 barrel carburetor for their light duty trucks in 1985 and 1986. The carbed engines were used in light duty full size pickups and Astro and Safari vans. Those engines are getting kind of rare these days though. There are aftermarket 4 barrel intakes available for the 4.3, but they're not emission compatible though (no provision for EGR). As Doober said, what kind of project are you working on?

not sure what motor will be used for i just have it on a stand and is a good running motor ,,,for me its easier to deal with a carb'd motor than tbi etc ,,,,just seeking info for future use maybe it will go back in the monte or i have a model A frame i want to start building and thought the 4.3 would be good for that
