Hi guys,

I can get my hands on a working iron powerglide for cheap. I remember many comments about them beeing
a "bulletproof" casing to build on. That's what i have heard but have no clue or fact to back it up.
The question is, would you buy an iron PG for 100$, fill it with aftermarket stuff, and use it in a high perf 2800lbs street car?
Perhaps it would be better suited for an all drag vehicle?

Restoration or scrap value only

eh glides arent bad for the street, yea the whole massive stall kinda sucks, but if u can keep the heat down, you can defanitly get them to hook easier then using a 3 speed with a tall first gear
