MSD distributor O-rings

Do you guys all have the two o-rings on your msd dist. shaft? I have the 85561 pro billet if I remember right. I dont have the orings.

I never run them.
In addition, I cut a very fine groove in the housing under the lower oil groove to oil the cam/distributor gear.

you should call MSD if my memory serves me right you need them with an MSD and a stock block but don't use them with a Dart block

The reason for asking is that I have had a problem with a oil leak from the distributor
all season. I have tried new and multiple gaskets. I adjusted the collar to make sure it was sitting flat on the intake and not bottemed out on the oil pump drive. It still leaked. I never had this problem before and I have never used the o-rings.

Sure it's not the intake or where the oil pressure sending unit or oil pressure line adapts

The o-rings would have nothing to do with an external oil leak. Just a gasket up top.

And I agree, don't use the o-rings if it's stock block and/or street driven.
