WRONG CLUTCH FORK?

hey,my transmission wont shift when running,at the end of my adjustment rod.the fork i used is straight,i know the malibu one is curved i think,clutch is new,still building the car so it hasnt been driven.shifts fine when the car isnt running.any suggestions?im gonna pull the trans this week and put in the other one i have and the rite clutch fork.also make sure the disc is in the rite way.dont know how id put it in wrong i can read,but i guess its possible.thanks for any help.
