Can anyone on here upload pictures of an aftermarket radio installed, and how they did it? Thanks. I installed a sony xpold in my mothers jeep, but she is trading it in for a new vehicle and id like to re-do the whole stereo system in my malibu. I'm not exactly sure how to get the sony xplod to fit in the dash where the old radio is, and i want to see a few examples, and what you used, thanks again, can't wait to see them. :D

I dont have pictures, but I know there's a kit you can buy to install a DIN radio in the Malibu, as well as a radio harness that plugs into the stock wiring. Try looking on ebay or search the net for the kit....

Sorry I couldn't be more help...

You can get a kit that's meant for the later Montes/El Caminos. For some reason Malibus sometimes aren't listed.

Because they're grandma cars and grandma doesn't like loud music.

Rednecks on the other hand love to blast some Lynard Skynard. :D

Yep. You'll need to either cut your current trim plate or get one from a later car with a Din and ½ radio... I wouldn't be too concerned with your original trim plate unless it's a radio-delete one, in which case you can make a few bucks off them, because far as I know nobody makes radio-delete plates, but regular radio plates are being made.

Save yourself the headache of wiring and cutting the factory wiring with a harness adapter.

Their 6 bucks delivered to your door. It's what I used and made things super easy. Plus it didn't hack up the original wiring...
