trans front seal ?

just wanted to no are all th350 transmission front seals are the same, long and short tailed
i got a long tailed transmission and the seal leaks its sapposed to be out of a truck. thanks n advance

Usually if the front seal leaks,you probably need to inspect the torque converter hub. A front seal is really just a dust seal. If there is too much clearance between the pump bushing and the converter hub, a front seal will not stop a leak.I don't want you to put it all together and have it leak.then you will just have to pull it back out.

Hey, just chimeing in. Its hard to tell from a picture but mic it and look at it if you see a wore spot on the shaft you could get a new torque convertor. Or you can get a repair sleeve kit form auto zone or advance that will take care of that. Just a thought good luck

It is hard to tell from the pic.where the bushing rides on the hub looks but it looks like you have some wear at the very top of the hub.it doe's not look polished like the rest of the hub. The upper part is where it engages with the pump gears. I personally would pull the pump, check the gears and install a new bushing before installing it.
