transbrake leak

Post by brunz21 » Sat Mar 03, 2012 11:00 pm

i got a 400 with a coan rev. man. valve body and a coan trans brake. the car's brand new, never even hit the ground yet, just filled it up with type f, and ran it. i have fluid streaming from where the solenoid goes into the case, any ideas before i get back under there? i gave up for the day.

O-ring is probably cut/torn or it's not tight enough.

i tightened it up pretty good. seems to have stopped. the trans was sitting for about two years empty so i think once the fluid hit all the seals, they swelled up pretty good.

I agree O-ring probably damaged or missing. If it is it will leak again when the car sits awhile.
