Whats up guys I have a question.. I bought a th400 crossmember for a 78 malibu from from jegs and it dosnt line up at all. Its for a 78 malibu dose any one know where I can get one that works just to bolt on or pics on how to custom the original one?? Plz help me out guys...

When installing a TH2004R or TH400 Trans in a 78-83 G-Body you need the Frame Extension Piece so the Crossmember will bolt up. Jegs also used to sell it but, I don't see it listed anymore. They should've mentioned it in there Xmember add.

Dose that come with instructions? Do u use one or two frame extensions?

If you go to summits site they have the instuctions for the extension online. I did the same thing...bought the x member from jegs and the frame extension from summit because I couldn't find it at jegs...go figure. Easy install and works great!
Driven to the flower shop on Saturdays by a "little old lady" until two years ago, that's when the nightmare began...

Thanks a lot guys... I have another question I'm putting a gen 5, 454 block in it I need a spin on oil adapter to make my oil filter straight down can i get any help on where i can find that adapter for my year motor 91 and up..

No, it's not needed with TH200/200C/TH250/TH350/350C Trans.
The rear mount on the TH200-4R & TH400 is farther back.
