I found a t56 on my local craigslist and the price okay. The car has 130,000 miles and is being parted out. does anyone have any tips on how to inspect a t56 out of a ls1 camaro or firebird. I'm looking to put this in my el camino. Thanks for any input. I know to grab the input shaft and see if theres any play but what else. I dont think these have an inspection cover like an old 4 speed. Is there anyway i can look at the gears and syncros before i buy it, but without completely disasmmbling it?
