Hey Guys,
Gonna be pulling the engine to freshen it up and was considering doing the same for the tranny. What I was wondering should i tear the tranny right down or just filter and fluid, it doesn't slip or act up.
What are your thoughts?

I always think if it isn't broken,don't fix it just fluid and filter it,then again with the motor out for some love why not share some of it with the transmission? Looking back i guess i'm not much help :)

Change the filter NOT the fluid

Depends what you do with the car in a year. Street driven, leave it. Track time: think of the mess if you blow a tranny and spread fluid. Cheap insurance if the motor's out to have a GOOD tranny shop refresh yours. We are track only so log book captures runs , fluid changes, temp's etc. so fluid / filter and gasket are changed yearly. We check fluid for metal shavings . Average 100 - 125 runs a year.
Be good to your tranny and the car will like you..
383 stroker, forged eagle rotating assy, howards 4\7 swap cam 640/640 lift & 283/289 duration, turbo 350 with Abruzzi 4500 stall, Mark Williams 12 bolt with 4.11 spool and 35 spline axle. Trick Chassis ARB. Small tire car, 28 in. MT pro bracket radial
