bellhousing depth??

Post by rpoudrier » Fri Feb 24, 2012 12:06 pm

Hey guys, im swapping my 79 Malibu from a th350 to a Muncie m21. Found a few sites asking how deep the bellhousing I need. How do I measure this? I got a sb350 im running in the car . Also, does the g body clutch fork work in the standard location? All the bells im finding come straight out the side. Any help would b appreciated.

What bellhousing manufacturer is it that needs to know the depth? AFAIK, all 3 & 4 speed OEM Chevy bell housings are the same dimensions. The clutch fork is indeed in a sligtly different location on an A/G body.
