torque converter suggestions

hey guys running a 500 hp big block with nitrous and a TH 350 having trouble deciding on a torque converter im running 4.56 gears in the rear with a 28" in diameter tire PLEASE HELP!!!!!!

Also my cam specs is a 272 duration cam lifting.515 of an inch but im running 1.72 roller rockers so maybe a little more lift with 9 to 8 compression

well you definatley want a converter with anti-ballooning plates b/c of using the bottle. 3500-4500 would be a good one

Nitrous engines produce some serious horsepower and require a serious torque converter to handle it. The anti-balloon plates will allow these converters to stand up to the instant horsepower nitrous delivers. Converters with higher than stock stall speed will allow the vehicle to accelerate better from a dead stop and it will allow the vehicle to idle better when a big cam is used.

Go custom built,this is one of the most important things you can do for your combination.Good luck.
